Structural Stabilization and Board Ups

In Florida we have come to terms with the fact that hurricanes and tornados during hurricanes are a way of life.  As a homeowner you know that sometimes it is best to evacuate in order to protect your family, but what about protecting your home?  Do you have precut boards for your windows and other exposed areas of your home?  If your Florida home is your second home, do you have a plan in place to protect your home when you are not there?  Let us do that for you.  We will measure and have precut boards ready to put in place upon your call when a storm is on the way.  (Post Storm) RRC has years of experience in post catastrophe emergency service.  Our emergency crews will be on the road as soon as the local authorities will allow us so that we may provide emergency services in the hours following a catastrophe.  We offer a full range of post storm assistance from boarding up broken windows to stabilizing structures that are damaged by wind born debris and falling trees.

Water Extraction and Structural Drying

Whether you have had a plumbing leak caused by a broken pipe, water damage from a leak in your roof, sewage back up or rising flood waters that have caused you to have flooded carpets, water damaged cabinets in your kitchen, a water damaged vanity in your bathroom or flood water in your home, your insurance company requires you to take the necessary steps to mitigate any further damage.  RichCO Residential is here to help.  RichCO is unlike other companies that simply come out to your home and begin ripping walls out, only to hand you a large bill which YOU are responsible to pay when they complete their work.  We will help you verify coverage and make sure the emergency repairs are properly documented for you to submit the required information to your insurance adjuster avoiding delays, and in many cases, keeping you from paying for the emergency services out of your pocket.  RichCO’s emergency service division, offers water removal of flood water, dry out services to ensure you do not end up with mold or mildew issues and clean up services for your flooded house.  Once your home is dry again, we will work with you to restore your flood damaged home.

Remodeling

Are you planning to remodel your home?  Maybe just a kitchen or a bathroom?  Before doing so, it is very important that you hire the right contractor to do the job.  Many people aren’t sure where to start.  Should they hire someone based upon a referral from a friend or co-worker?  Maybe, but we recommend to go beyond just a referral and do your due diligence when selecting a contractor.  Referrals are a great starting point because someone you know, and hopefully you trust, has had a good experience using the contractor.  Make sure that the type of work you are looking to do in your home, is the type of work the contractor did for the person who referred him/her.  The importance here is because someone may have done a great job painting for your friend, but they may not be good at installing cabinets or laying tile for example.  It is important to check that this contractor you may potentially be hiring has experience doing the type of work you are expecting of them.  We suggest that you ask for additional referrals even if your friend or co-worker initially referred him/her.  This will help you to get a feel for him/her from past satisfied customers.  Did the contractor finish on time, did they complete the work within the given budget and were the easy to work with?  Next ask to see before and after photos of his/her work.  This will give you the visual confirmation you may be seeking and help you verify that you like the completed work.  Lastly, and most importantly, ask to see his/her credentials.  Does the contractor have a state license (General Contractor, Electrician, Plumbing)?  Does he/she have insurance and worker’s compensation?  Many handymen do not carry these licenses and while that may be okay to hang a fan or paint a room, that is not what is required to do many other repairs or remodeling projects.

At RichCO Residential Corp we are a Florida licensed General Contractor (CRC1329670) and Roofing Contractor (CCC1326746).  We are also a InterNACHI member (NACHI09121412) licensed to perform home inspections.  You can visit our website to learn more about our company as well as visit us on Facebook page to see several before and after photos of our work.
